Inspired by the Byzantine painting technique Manto captures the traditional Cretan view of flowers, fruits and nature to paint them in vivid colours onto old wooden shatters, bowls and boards. Find the gallery showing these unique and lovingly handcrafted artwork at the entrance of the town, next to the bus station.

Manto studied painting at the A.K.T.O (Artistic thinaikos technology group). She also attended the decorative and graphic department of the school and studied drawing and fresco (buon fresco) in kallitechnikos workshop THEOFILOS. Furthermore she studied Byzantine iconography in the workshop of Fine Arts Glyfada with Michalis Angelaki, painter.

She has participated in solo and group exhibitions since 1999. Since 2000 she lives in Chania and since 2003 she and maintains the "Manto art gallery" in Paleochora.
