Krios Beach

Take the road west out of of Paleochora towards Kondoura. Follow the signs to Cape Krios  and continue west for about 10 km until the asphalt road runs out. A further 1km on a dirt road will bring the traveller on a long strip of pebble beach at the foot of the mountains; the deep blue and clear sea inviting you to explore the world underwater.
A snackbar provides catering, sunbeds and umbrellas.
At the end of the beach the E4 continues towards Elafonissi.

Grammeno Beaches

4 km west of Paleohora, this small peninsula offers a variety of beaches, lovely flora and  rock formations to wander about.A campsite, snackbars, sunbeds & umbrellas provide the bare necesseties of life!

Small beaches

West of Paleochora between the Sandy Beach and Grammeno you can find a number of unspoiled  tiny beaches, coves and small inlets like “Psilovolaka”, “Karavopetra” and “Plakaki” that  are waiting for you in all their natural beauty.

Also you can also visit “Azzurro Beach” right before Grammeno. The little snackbar there offers refreshments, a nice barbeque and free sunbeds.

Pachia Ammos (Sandy Beach)

On the western side of the peninsula, 800 m long with finely grained  sand and fairly shallow waters  that make it perfect for families with children.

Umbrellas and sunbeds are for rent throughout the season but there is also enough space to put up your own “camp for the day”.

There’s a beach volleyball court, a children’s playground and, in the high season, “Banana-Fun-Rides” with a speed boat.
Life guard supervision, public showers & toilets  and a large variety of tavernas and snack bars take care of your personal and comfort.

Chalikia Beach (Pebble Beach)

More sheltered in case of strong west/north wind, this beach is at the northern end of follows the promenade on the east side of Paleochora. The 2 km long pebble beach has provides sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, cafes, restaurants and parking at the town end. Further along the beach, away from Paleochora, large parts are often almost deserted and can provide absolute peace & quiet.

Gianiskari Beaches (Anidri Beach)

Driving or walking/biking east from Paleochora along the unpaved E4 path for approximately 3 km towards  Sougia, you reach the small, starshaped  Gialiskari Beach at the mouth of the Anidri gorge. Publicy known as 'Anidri Beach', it’s crystal clear waters and enchanting atmosphere make it the favorite of many. 

Cozy coves, pebbly sections, sandy parts, as well as snack bars, sun beds, umbrellas, showers are all there.

Here you can also find the diving & holistic massages resort 'Sea Whispers' and you even can get a beauty treatment and a hair cut on the beach at 'Sahras'.
